WHAT TO BRING
A hot air balloon flight is a relaxing and adventurous experience! Please dress as you would for a light walk in the park with closed-toed, flat-soled shoes (Ex. tennis shoes), and popular extras:
• Water Bottle
• Hat and Sunscreen
• Sunglasses
• Camera and Selfie Stick
• Light Jacket (For sunrise flights)
The burners are warm above your head - just like standing in front of a fireplace - so a light hat can be a good idea, however definitely not a requirement for a good time!
LOCATIONS
We meet for all of our flights on the north side of Indianapolis - nearby to Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Westfield, and similar for gorgeous views of the skyline, reservoirs and beyond!
If preferred, we can meet you to fly from your own site (Mileage fee of $2 per mile over 25 miles from Indianapolis)
If you have specific flight location goals, please let us know, and we would be glad to try and make it happen based on the weather and local airspace regulations
WEATHER
Please keep in mind that hot air ballooning is a very weather dependent activity. We never want to reschedule a flight, however safety is, and will always be, our first priority together.
Some conditions that will usually cancel flights:
• Wind speed above 10mph on the ground
• Rain within 100 miles of Indianapolis
• Fog and/or low clouds
Flight cancellations can be rescheduled as many times as necessary (With pricing lock) to help accomplish your flight, or your deposit can be refunded at your preference!
We would love to share an experience that words can't describe

Frequently Asked Questions
We typically fly on the north side of Indianapolis, closeby to suburbs such as Carmel, Noblesville, Fishers, Westfield, and similar!
However, we are still closeby to other suburbs such as Zionsville, Avon, Greenwood, and Greenfield, Pendleton, Lafayette!
We also can gladly come to your preferred launch site for a nominal mileage charge after the first 25 miles from Indianapolis!
All guests must be a minimum of 42" tall. Due to our insurance, we are unable to fly anyone who is pregnant, who may be pregnant, or who has had major surgery in the last 6 months.
Also due to our insurance, the minimum age to fly is 5. While there are no age maximums, there are no seats in the basket. Passengers must be able to stand for the entire flight (about 1 hour) unassisted. If you are concerned about physical limitations, we always recommend checking with your doctor before scheduling to fly with us.
Most people who are afraid of heights are not bothered by a balloon flight in any way! Unlike an airplane or tall building, there is no sensation of shaking or movement in a hot air balloon. The flight feels just like floating, relaxed and effortless with a touch of adventure.
The vast majority of our guests are enthralled by the experience with seeing everything come to life around them that they forget entirely about any concerns.
If there are any concerns with members of your group, they are always welcome to ride along with our chase crew instead of joining in the basket - no ticket required!
A hot air balloon flight is an unbelievably unique adventure. After all, that's why we fell in love with it and want to share it with new friends!
After the balloon is inflated, you will take off gracefully with the effortless feeling of floating through the air. The experience is surprisingly quiet, with the only exception of the occasional sound of the burners. You can even talk to people on the ground! The height of the balloon will vary throughout the flight to help ensure you get a beautiful, ever-changing view. We land after our flight (which sometimes can be a bit bumpy when we touch the ground), and we all smile - take a few more pictures.
Your first thought when you land will be to say - "Let's do it again!"
We pack up the hot air balloon system, and share a celebratory champagne (or juice) toast - a longstanding tradition in ballooning!
The airborne flight time varies upon location, wind speed, and direction. However, we try for about 45 minutes - 1 hour in the air.
You should allow 3 to 4 hours for the entire experience, which includes meeting and registration, driving to the launch site, the flight, the post flight celebration, and driving back to the launch site.
Please dress for an easy outdoor adventure - like you would dress for a walk in the park. Wear comfortable loose fitting clothing. Dress in layers with long pants preferably. Bring a hat or sunglasses and sunscreen, as the sun can be very bright at sunrise and sunset. Wear comfortable closed-toed, flat-soled, shoes (preferably sneakers).
If you dress for the ground temperature, you should be comfortable in the air as well! Due to our balloon traveling with the wind, you won’t feel a wind chill. Also, standing near our burners is similar to standing near a fireplace, so your head will be just a bit warmer than your toes!
Also, don’t forget your phone or camera - you’ll want to share pictures of your flight with everyone!
Flight times vary throughout the year based upon sunrise and sunset times. For sunrise flights, we meet 30 minutes before sunrise. For evening flights, we meet 2.5 hours before sunset.
Hot air balloons are very subject to the weather, and can't fly if it the wind speeds are above 10 miles per hour, or if there is rain within 100 miles of the flight. Sometimes, it can seem like a perfect day on the ground, but higher in the sky might look completely different. This is why we must trust the pilot to make the safest decision each and every time.
In the midwest, this means that many of our flights can be rescheduled 2-3 times before they happen. If you can join us another time - great! If not, we will make it right with you.
Absolutely, we will never fly in any conditions that we would not take our own family. Due to the slow speed, weather requirements, and similar, ballooning is the safest form of aviation.
We pride ourselves on safety and will only make our decision based on that fact. Even if this means a special date or event needs to be rescheduled due to weather, we do not accept outside pressure to fly when we should not be in the air.
Sometimes on windier flights, the landing can be a bit bumpy, with the balloon basket tipping over and sliding a bit before ultimately coming to a stop. It is usually a bunch of fun, with our passengers laughing and having fun along the way. However, please do know your physical limitations, and consult your doctor with any questions.
No worries! Please feel free to reach out to us at «[email protected]» and we will be glad to help!
